Avio was founded by medtech entrepreneur and engineer, Morgan Evans, out of firsthand frustration.
Struggling to find consulting partners who understood the realities of early-stage medtech—limited budgets, evolving data, investor pressure, and constant tradeoffs—Morgan built Avio initially to support her own companies.

A consulting model built out of necessity
She didn’t need a 200 page slide deck. She needed collaborators who understood the conflicting pressures of a short runway, a looming FDA meeting, and a board asking for milestones yesterday. She needed a co-pilot who would help her to navigate the gray, plot the straightest course, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her along the way.
What began as an internal resource evolved organically into a consulting model, purpose-built for startups: fractional, affordable, integrated, and deeply empathetic to founder realities. Avio’s structure reflects lived experience in the trenches, not an adapted corporate playbook.
With each project we iterate and grow, translating our learnings into templates, playbooks and best practices for the benefit of all. In this way, each startup partner supports the next — decreasing timelines and costs across the board.
